The Women’s Situation Room – Sierra Leone (WSR-SL) has engaged the relevant stakeholders, including the Election Management Bodies (EMBs) in the hot spot district of Kambia.
A meeting held at the AMNet district office in Kambia brought together representatives of the two main political parties, youth groups, CSOs, ONS, SLP among others.
Addressing the gathering, Hawa Samai of AMNet who also doubles as the National Coordinator for WSR-SL underscored that the purpose of the ‘peace campaign’ is to consolidate the gains made so far in this electoral process and to bridge the gap between divided communities. She implored them to discourage tribal politics and stand up for peace in the district.
