AMNet began operations in Bonthe district in 2007 and is registered with the MSWGCA and the Local Council since 2008. We intensely work on the mainland but also extend our operations to the island.
We proactively follow-up on cases of abuse and violation of women’s and child rights; advocating with and on behalf of the survivors. For promoting the rights of the vulnerable we educate the grassroots on child protection, youth empowerment and gender equality. AMNet is specialized in minimizing FGM through culturally sensitive tools and in collaboration with societal leaders. We have implemented the Generation Dialogue in 13 communities in Bonthe district (mainland).
We have been chosen as lead organization for ASJP for non-state actors in Bonthe district and monitor the procurement procedures and funds of the local council.
AMNet is well-known for a proactive stance in early warning and response to conflict from household to community and district level.

Professional Background: After secondary school Isata worked for over six years as nurse at the Pujehun government hospital. She acted as chairperson for the school of war effected women, and worked community outreach officer for enciss, qualitative and quantitative surveys on child protection

Motivation: To encourage women to stand firm in public and to articulate their interests and to speak on behalf of those women who do not dare and are not heard
James Goba, Youth Officer
Main tasks: sensitization of youth on SRHR, HIV, early marriage and FGM, facilitate the formation of youth groups and strengthen them, radio discussions in the youth alert program, implementation of youth projects
