On the 12th December, 2018, AMNet in collaboration with G2G supported by ForwardUK and Comic Relief, engaged parliamentarians of the Human Right Committee; Parliamentary Caucus on Gender and children’s issue at Committee Room #1 at the House of Parliament of Sierra Leone. AMNet and partners demanded the domestication of the Maputo protocol which encompass Harmful Traditional Practices such as Child/Early Marriage, Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and Gender Base Violence (GBV). The parliamentarians accept the campaign message and promised to support the process of domestication of the Maputo Protocol to it final stage(s).
