Coordinating responses to cases of GBV

Coordinating responses to cases of GBV to offer maximum support for survivors and to prosecute perpetrators: AMNet trained stakeholders in Kambia district on their roles and responsibilites and facilitates agreement on refferal, reporting and coordination processes (12.-13.06.2013). This was an important step for the implementation of the Sexual Offences Act, the Domestic Violence Act, the Child Rights Act and the National Referral Protocol on GBV so that women’s rights become reality in Kambia district. Participants of the workshop developed a directory of focal points for GBV cases in Kambia district and agreed on an action plan to address the key challenges in handling these cases.
